History of Roystian Foundation

Roystian Foundation (RF) was born out of a simple yet powerful idea — what if plastic waste could be transformed into nourishment for stray animals? In January 2021, a small group of like-minded individuals came together with this vision. The initial plan was to introduce the Nihit Machine, a first-of-its-kind innovation that dispenses food and water for stray dogs in exchange for plastic bottles. However, the COVID-19 pandemic delayed its launch, testing the patience and perseverance of the team.

Despite challenges, RF stayed committed. The idea soon caught national attention when the Nihit Machine was featured in several leading publications across India, including:

By the end of 2021, the initiative had been published in over 46 articles across India, giving RF strong credibility and recognition.

The breakthrough moment came when the prototype Nihit Machine was showcased at PETEX Expo in Hyderabad, where more than 30,000 visitors witnessed the innovation live.

From those humble beginnings, RF has steadily grown into a registered NGO with wider objectives:

Animal Welfare → food, healthcare, sterilization, rescue

Environmental Sustainability → waste reduction, recycling, clean-up drives

Community Development → education, women empowerment, senior citizen support, disaster relief

Today, RF is scaling its impact across India, building partnerships with corporates and civic bodies, and staying true to its mission: turning waste into compassion, and innovation into sustainable change.
